On the day
- Follow fasting instructions exactly as given.
- Wear comfortable clothes and skip make-up, creams and jewellery.
- Bring your documents, medicine list and any existing eye drops.
- Expect to spend a few hours for preparation, surgery and observation.
After surgery
- Use every drop on schedule and wash your hands first.
- Wear the protective shield while sleeping as advised.
- Avoid rubbing the eye, dusty places and heavy lifting until permitted.
- Attend all follow-up visits.
Call the hospital urgently if
You develop severe pain, sudden drop in vision, increasing redness or discharge. Early attention prevents complications.
