Dr. S.K. Bulchandani is the Medical Director of Divyajyoti Eye Hospital and has been practising ophthalmology for more than 20 years. He established the hospital in December 2001 at Jyoti Apartment on J.P. Road, opposite the 7 Bungalows Bus Depot in Andheri (West), and has led it since. In the years since, the hospital has cared for more than 1,00,000 patients from Andheri and the surrounding western suburbs of Mumbai.

His clinical work covers cataract surgery by phacoemulsification, laser vision correction including LASIK and Trans-PRK, the assessment and long-term management of glaucoma, and the detection and treatment of diabetic retinopathy. Diagnosis is supported by equipment available in-house, including the IOLMaster 500 for intraocular lens power calculation, ultrasound A-scan, pachymetry, gonioscopy, fundus photography and YAG laser.

Dr. Bulchandani practises in a NABH Pre-Accredited setting, where surgery is carried out in operation theatres maintained to NABH sterility guidelines, and he works alongside a team that numbers five eye specialists in all. He consults during the hospital's evening OPD, Monday to Saturday from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM; the hospital is closed on Sunday.
